Fabio Wardley outlines 2024 priorities and Adeleye win closes chapter

Fabio Wardley had a successful year, extending his undefeated record to 17-0 with a victory over David Adeleye in October. 

The 29-year-old shared his goals for 2024, expressing a desire to fight at Ipswich Town’s Portman Road and emphasizing the significance of his win over Adeleye as closing a chapter in his career. 

Wardley, holding British, WBO European, and Commonwealth heavyweight titles, revealed his two main priorities for the upcoming year, aiming to defend his belts and secure a home fight in Ipswich. 

He anticipates two or three more wins in 2025 before pursuing a world title.

Reflecting on his victory over Adeleye, Wardley sees it as a decisive moment, closing the chapter on a phase of his career where he faced skepticism due to his unconventional entry into boxing. 

The late starter values entertaining the audience, emphasizing the importance of both boxing skills and crowd-pleasing performances. 

While taking a break from fighting this year, Wardley looks forward to watching the Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua card in Saudi Arabia as a fan, expressing his deep appreciation and love for the sport.
